Santiago Zenon vs Luis Melgar

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Auditorio Nacional, Mexico City,  taking place on 30/06/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Zenon (17(13) - 1(1)) who hails from Tlalnepantla, Mexico and Luis Melgar(12 - 10(2)) from Zapopan, Mexico.  Both Zenon and Melgar weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jesus Roque, and the three ringside judges are Ryo Calistro, Emanuel Lopez and Macario Tostado.  

Round 1: 

Zenon steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Zenon holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Zenon pushes his forearm into Melgar's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Zenon about fouling.  
Zenon lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Zenon clinches his opponent.  Zenon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Melgar's kidney. The ref breaks Zenon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Zenon lands a left uppercut.  
Zenon walks Melgar down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Zenon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Zenon lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Zenon holds on to his opponent.  Zenon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Zenon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Melgar could be stopped here, if Zenon can find the right shot!  Zenon lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND MELGAR IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Melgar has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Zenon drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Zenon lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Zenon lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Zenon walks Melgar down, trapping him in a corner.  Zenon drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Zenon drives a left uppercut into Melgar's body.  Zenon clinches his opponent.  Zenon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Zenon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Zenon throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Melgar throws a left hook, but Zenon ties up his opponent.  Zenon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zenon digs in a right hook to Melgar's body.  
Zenon advances into close range and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING MELGAR TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Melgar quickly recovers. 
Zenon lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Zenon senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Zenon crashes a DEVASTATING left hook to his opponents body.  MELGAR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE MELGAR CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Zenon!
