Brad Kelty vs Tariq Mir

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at California Memorial Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 02/06/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Brash Brad Kelty (72(67) - 2) who hails from Green Bay, USA and Tariq Mir(27(4) - 2(2)) from Shubra El-Kheima, Egypt.  Both Kelty and Mir weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vince Aitken, and the three ringside judges are Adam Reina, Robert Juarez and Brin Erwin.  

Round 1:

Kelty quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a firm left hook to Mir's ribs.  
Kelty is on target with a stinging cross.  Kelty throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kelty switches the action to the outside.  Mir finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Mir gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Kelty is on target with a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  Kelty clinches his opponent.  Kelty is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Kelty and breaks the clinch.  
Kelty digs in a stinging left uppercut to Mir's body.  
Kelty switches the action to the outside and lands a firm cross.  
Mir advances into close range.  Kelty sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kelty throws a left uppercut, but is not on target.  Kelty ties up his opponent.  Kelty is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kelty is on target with a sharp left hook to Mir's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kelty's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Kelty's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Kelty is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Mir slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mir gets on the inside.  Kelty is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  Kelty ties up his opponent.  Kelty pushes his forearm into Mir's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kelty about fouling.  
Kelty lands a sharp cross.  
Mir tries to land a jab, but Kelty sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Mir advances into close range and walks Kelty onto the ropes.  Mir lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mir lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Mir throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kelty is looking to keep his distance and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mir quickly recovers.

MIR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  It looks like Mir has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Kelty steps to the outside.  Mir throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a DESTRUCTIVE right uppercut.  MIR IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE MIR THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Kelty!
