Loredo Alverez vs Guillermo Rogero

Boxing Daily Report from the Kayo Promotions promoted show at Kayo Gym, Mexico City,  taking place on 21/05/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Loredo Alverez (8(3) - 0) who hails from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and Guillermo Rogero(5 - 9(1)) from Reynosa, Mexico.  Alverez weighed in at 118 pounds, while Rogero weighed in at 117 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Angel Salamanca, and the three ringside judges are Jesus Fermin, Ryo Calistro and Alano Borjon.  

Round 1: 

Alverez advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Alverez drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.

Alverez lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Alverez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Alverez throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Alverez ties up his opponent.  Alverez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Alverez.

Alverez DETONATES a SAVAGE right uppercut on his opponents face.  ROGERO IS HURT!  
Some sustained pressure from Alverez could be enough to finish Rogero!  Alverez lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND ROGERO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Rogero now seems to have his senses back.

Alverez gets on the inside.  Alverez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a CRUSHING left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE ROGERO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Alverez senses Rogero is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Alverez lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a cross to the head.  Rogero now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Alverez pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Alverez feints a jab, fooling Rogero into launching a right hook counter.  Alverez avoids the shot and counters with a firm right hook.
