Matthew Poveda vs James Creach

Boxing Daily Report from the Peanut Promotions promoted show at The Grand Ballroom at The Plaza, New York City,  taking place on 18/05/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matthew Poveda (19(3) - 3 - 1) who hails from San Jose, USA and James Creach(8 - 14 - 4) from Chicago, USA.  Poveda weighed in at 168 pounds, while Creach weighed in at 167 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is David Fidler, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Cavanah, Ellis Cammon and Gus Esplin.  

Round 1: 

Poveda is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Creach connects with a right hook.  
Creach tries to step out of his opponents range.  Poveda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Creach tries to keep the action at long range.  Poveda lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Poveda closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Poveda ties up his opponent.  Poveda pushes his forearm into Creach's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Poveda to stop fouling.  
Creach steps to the outside.  Poveda lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right to the head followed by a cross to the body.
