Xavier Santiago vs Diego Lupercio

Boxing Daily Report from the Agbeko Promotions promoted show at Felippe Nuncio Gym, Belo Horizonte,  taking place on 20/05/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Brazil-Minas Gerais Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xavier Santiago (13 - 16(4) - 6) who hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Diego Lupercio(11(5) - 3) from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.  Santiago weighed in at 153 pounds and 11 ounces, while Lupercio weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Conde, and the three ringside judges are Cisco Reis, Quinto Cunha and Alejandro Monterroso.  

Round 1: 

Lupercio closes the distance and forces Santiago to back into the corner.  Lupercio sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lupercio lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  Lupercio tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Santiago tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with an overhand right.  
Santiago advances into close range.  Lupercio lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Santiago dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Lupercio drives a left hook into Santiago's body.  
Lupercio connects with a stinging left hook.  
Lupercio lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Lupercio is looking to close the distance and is on target with a FEROCIOUS right hook.  SANTIAGO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Santiago now seems to have got his legs back.
