Lazar Markoff vs Pyotr Vasiliev

Boxing Daily Report from the Lousinyan Promotions promoted show at Ufa Umakhanov, Ufa,  taking place on 31/05/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Bashkortostan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lazar Markoff (28 - 9) who hails from Sterlitamak, Russia and Pyotr Vasiliev(8 - 19(1) - 2 - 1(NC)) from Ufa, Russia.  Both Markoff and Vasiliev weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Viktor Popoff, and the three ringside judges are Nikolai Zarubin, Ioakim Markov and Valeri Lukashin.  

Round 1: 

Markoff is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Markoff tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Vasiliev's kidney. Markoff throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.
