Brendan Kroninger vs Joaquin Ortuno

Boxing Daily Report from the Greedy Promotions promoted show at Horseshoe Casino, Cincinnati,  taking place on 25/06/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the USA-Ohio Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brendan Kroninger (23(11) - 2) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Joaquin Ortuno(12 - 2(1)) from Cleveland, USA.  Both Kroninger and Ortuno weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jack Pfluger, and the three ringside judges are Rob Begg, Clinton Hintz and Chris Permenter.  

Round 1: 

Ortuno drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Kroninger steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Kroninger throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Kroninger's liver.  
Kroninger lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Kroninger forces Ortuno to retreat onto the ropes.  Kroninger lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ortuno tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Ortuno is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kroninger lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ortuno tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Kroninger steps inside.  Kroninger wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ortuno dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ortuno lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kroninger closes the distance and forces Ortuno to retreat onto the ropes.  Kroninger drives a right uppercut into Ortuno's body.  
Kroninger lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Ortuno pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kroninger is on target with a solid right hook to Ortuno's ribs.  
Kroninger closes the distance.  Ortuno pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kroninger lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kroninger lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Kroninger tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kroninger cuts off the ring, trapping Ortuno in a neutral corner.  Ortuno connects with a left hook.  
Kroninger lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kroninger lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ortuno digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kroninger lands a hard jab.  
Kroninger connects with a solid cross.  Kroninger tries to land a left hook, but Ortuno blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Ortuno is on target with a right hook.  
Ortuno throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ortuno switches the action to the outside and tries to land an overhand right, but Kroninger sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Ortuno lands a jab.

Ortuno switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Kroninger slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Ortuno hits home with a left uppercut.  Ortuno throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a weighty right uppercut.  ORTUNO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Ortuno recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
