Alec Hanes vs Mick Maddex

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Boxing Federation promoted show at Manukau Aday, Manukau,  taking place on 14/06/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alec Hanes (13 - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Mick Maddex(27 - 14(7) - 2) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Hanes and Maddex weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Laidler, and the three ringside judges are George Brain, Hamonga Patihana and Ian Brown.  

Round 1: 

Hanes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Hanes lands a stiff jab.  Hanes attempts to land a jab, but Maddex dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Hanes lands a cross to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Hanes steps inside.  Maddex quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hanes lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hanes drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Maddex steps to the outside.  Hanes lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Hanes gets on the inside.  Maddex pivots to the right of his opponent.  Hanes drives a firm left uppercut into Maddex's body.  
Hanes is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.

Hanes slams a DEVASTATING left uppercut into his opponents body.  MADDEX IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE MADDEX THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Hanes!
