Davie Pewitt vs John Ioannou

Boxing Daily Report from the Dadekian Promotions promoted show at John Bowen Gym, Tulsa,  taking place on 14/06/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Oklahoma Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Davie Pewitt (5 - 17 - 4) who hails from Oklahoma City, USA and John Ioannou(17 - 18(1) - 8) from Oklahoma City, USA.  Both Pewitt and Ioannou weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Brownlee, and the three ringside judges are Chris Foley, Charles McCaa and Robert Braddick.  

Round 1: 

Pewitt tries to keep the action at long range.  Pewitt sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Pewitt lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Pewitt steps to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ioannou has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
