Mel Dowie vs James Millwee

Boxing Daily Report from the Yassa Promotions promoted show at Gregor Condie Gym, Calgary,  taking place on 19/06/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mel Dowie (4 - 3 - 1) who hails from Calgary, Canada and James Millwee(32(1) - 21(8) - 2) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Dowie and Millwee weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Biggs, and the three ringside judges are Robert Mower, Paul Belan and Charles Wardrop.  

Round 1: 

Millwee pivots to the left of his opponent.  Dowie lands a left hook.  
Millwee lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Millwee lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Millwee sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a firm left hook.

Dowie switches the action to the outside.  Dowie feints a jab, but Millwee ignores the feint and is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Millwee advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
Millwee drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Millwee lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Millwee is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Millwee lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Dowie has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Millwee sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Millwee lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Dowie now seems to have got his legs back.
