Macario Tamayo vs James Samson

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Magic City Casino, Miami,  taking place on 21/06/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Macario Tamayo (13(10) - 0) who hails from Santa Clara, Cuba and James Samson(1 - 3(3) - 3) from Fort Wayne, USA.  Both Tamayo and Samson weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Scott Gemmell, and the three ringside judges are Stuart Gillund, Dale Salvatierra and Fraser Vail.  

Round 1: 

Tamayo drives a cross into his opponents body.

Tamayo manages to force Samson into the corner.  Tamayo connects with a right uppercut.  Tamayo clinches his opponent.  Tamayo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tamayo lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Tamayo cuts off the ring, trapping Samson in a corner.  Tamayo is on target with a right uppercut.  
Tamayo throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Tamayo clinches his opponent.  Tamayo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tamayo.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Samson's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Samson's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Samson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Tamayo advances into close range and lands a right hook.

Tamayo digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Tamayo wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Samson dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Tamayo connects with a right hook.  
Tamayo advances into close range.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Samson dabs at his face checking for damage.  Samson has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Tamayo advances into close range.  Tamayo pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Tamayo hits home with a right hook.  
Tamayo forces Samson to retreat into a corner.  Tamayo lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND SAMSON IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Tamayo clinches his opponent.  Tamayo throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Samson quickly recovers.

Tamayo feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND DROPS SAMSON!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Tamayo feints a right hook, and then lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Tamayo advances into close range.  Samson tries to land a right uppercut, but Tamayo slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Tamayo lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, KNOCKING SAMSON DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Tamayo walks Samson onto the ropes.  Tamayo senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Samson and just needs the right shot.  Tamayo crashes a nasty right hook to his opponents body.  SAMSON IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Samson now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Tamayo hits home with a left uppercut.  
Tamayo pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Tamayo lands a right hook.  
Tamayo walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Tamayo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and crashes a DESTRUCTIVE right uppercut to Samson's ribs.  SAMSON HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE REF IMMEDIATELY WAVES OFF THE FIGHT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Tamayo!
