Justin Ramponi vs John Giblin

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia Boxing Council promoted show at Brisbane Bringhurst, Brisbane,  taking place on 30/06/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Justin Ramponi (8 - 10 - 6) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and John Giblin(7 - 10 - 9) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Ramponi and Giblin weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Forsythe, and the three ringside judges are Ian Norris, Dan Nish and William Ferries.  

Round 1: 

Ramponi is looking to close the distance.  Giblin lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ramponi hits home with an overhand right.

Ramponi steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ramponi is looking to close the distance.  Giblin is on target with a left hook.  Ramponi holds on to his opponent.  Ramponi pushes his forearm into Giblin's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Ramponi advances into close range.  Giblin voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ramponi accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Giblin.
