Rob Guffey vs John Connolly

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at Webbs Wood Stadium, Swindon,  taking place on 02/08/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Dave, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Guffey (8 - 0) who hails from Warrington, UK and John Connolly(8 - 6) from Peterborough, UK.  Both Guffey and Connolly weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Ladd, and the three ringside judges are Charlie Murphy, John Truffi and Robert Barbas.  

Round 1: 

Guffey advances into close range and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Guffey holds on to his opponent.  Guffey pushes his forearm into Connolly's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Guffey about fouling.  
Guffey lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Guffey closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Guffey clinches his opponent.  Guffey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
