Carlos Casas vs Rio Monte

Boxing Daily Report from the Kwei Promotions promoted show at Valencia Justiniano, Valencia,  taking place on 03/07/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Spain-Comunidad Valenciana Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Casas (6 - 7 - 3) who hails from Alicante, Spain and Rio Monte(7 - 9(1) - 3) from Alicante, Spain.  Casas weighed in at 139 pounds and 15 ounces, while Monte weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Francisco Capetillo, and the three ringside judges are Javier Rigor, Oleos Cayo and Diego Cura.  

Round 1: 

Monte closes the distance.  Casas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.

Casas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  As Casas tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Monte dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Monte manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Monte quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Monte attempts to land a left uppercut, but Casas blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Monte closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Casas connects with a left hook.  
Monte is on target with a left hook.  
Monte advances into close range and manages to force Casas into the blue corner.  Casas drives a right uppercut into Monte's ribcage.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Casas dabs at his face checking for damage.  Casas has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
