Arda Erdel vs Cemil Bagci

Boxing Daily Report from the HBLUE Promotions promoted show at Abdi Ipek Arena, Istanbul,  taking place on 14/07/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Arda Erdel (4 - 0) who hails from Izmir, Turkey and Cemil Bagci(3 - 2) from Istanbul, Turkey.  Erdel weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Bagci weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ilhami Erdinch, and the three ringside judges are Suleiman Lufi, Osman Akyurek and Duygu Cerci.  

Round 1: 

Erdel lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.

Erdel lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Erdel tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a firm overhand right.  
Bagci closes the distance.  Erdel pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Erdel dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Erdel hits home with a solid cross.  
Erdel steps to the outside and lands with a solid jab.  
Erdel lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Bagci is looking to close the distance and walks Erdel into the corner.  Erdel lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Erdel is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Bagci closes the distance.  Erdel is on target with a right hook.

Bagci advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Bagci throws a right hook, but Erdel clinches his opponent.  Erdel uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Bagci behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Erdel lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Erdel tries to land a jab, but Bagci slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Erdel lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Erdel lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS BAGCI TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Bagci almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bagci's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Bagci's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
