Waleed Atiyah vs Malik Alam

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Al Ain Hadid, Al Ain,  taking place on 06/07/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the UAE-Abu Dhabi Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waleed Atiyah (9 - 4 - 2) who hails from Abu Dhabi, UAE and Malik Alam(39(2) - 14(9) - 2) from Al Ain, UAE.  Both Atiyah and Alam weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aftab Nicoy, and the three ringside judges are Aftab Yarad, Rehman Salaam and Rehman Salaam.  

Round 1: 

Alam pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Atiyah tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Alam steps inside.  Alam sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As Alam tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Atiyah dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alam gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Alam pivots from in front of his opponent.  Alam lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Alam holds on to his opponent.  Alam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
