Morgan Edington vs Dave Davies

Boxing Daily Report from the Serero Promotions promoted show at Charlotte Yi, Charlotte,  taking place on 09/07/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-North Carolina Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Morgan Edington (21(7) - 1(1)) who hails from Charlotte, USA and Dave Davies(18 - 26(4) - 2) from Durham, USA.  Edington weighed in at 146 pounds and 6 ounces, while Davies weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Gerrie, and the three ringside judges are Chris Farm, Jack Cameron and John MacNaughton.  

Round 1: 

Edington lands a right uppercut.  
Edington gets on the inside.  Edington pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into Davies's body.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Edington has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
