Brad Kelty vs Jesus Cordero

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego,  taking place on 18/08/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Brash Brad Kelty (73(68) - 2) who hails from Green Bay, USA and Jesus Cordero(40(1) - 27(15) - 2) from Bogota, Colombia.  Both Kelty and Cordero weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lee Copland, and the three ringside judges are James Kay, Peter Bara and Davie Home.  

Round 1: 

Kelty gets on the inside and drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Kelty lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Cordero lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  Cordero attempts to land a cross, but Kelty parries the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.

Cordero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kelty attempts to land a cross, but Cordero sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kelty manouvers Cordero onto the ropes.  Kelty lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kelty attempts to land a left hook, but Cordero blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kelty lands with a stiff jab.  
Kelty is on target with a sharp cross.  
Cordero manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Kelty drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.

Kelty senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Kelty crashes a spiteful left hook to his opponents body.  CORDERO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Cordero now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Cordero walks Kelty down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cordero lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cordero's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Cordero lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Kelty steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Kelty cuts off the ring, trapping Cordero on the ropes.  Kelty lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.

Cordero sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kelty is on target with a right hook to Cordero's body.  
Kelty digs in a sharp right hook to Cordero's body.  
Cordero leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Kelty tries to tag Cordero on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!

Cordero throws a right hook, but Kelty clinches his opponent.  Cordero is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cordero to stop fouling.
