Kai Grant vs Ryuu Yoshida

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Japan National Stadium, Tokyo,  taking place on 18/08/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kai Grant (19(13) - 1 - 2) who hails from Perth, Australia and Ryuu Yoshida(13(7) - 2(1)) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Grant and Yoshida weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Tsuchida, and the three ringside judges are Hiroki Aoyama, Hisao Hatanaka and Kenji Domen.  

Round 1: 

Yoshida throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Yoshida attempts to land a left uppercut, but Grant sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.

Grant steps inside and forces Yoshida to retreat onto the ropes.  Grant lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Grant slams a VICIOUS left hook into his opponents body.  YOSHIDA IS HURT!  Yoshida almost instantly recovers. 
Yoshida switches the action to the outside and lands a hard jab.  
Yoshida tries to land a jab, but Grant blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Grant cuts off the ring, trapping Yoshida in a neutral corner.  Yoshida throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Grant drives a right hook into Yoshida's ribs.  
Yoshida lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Grant digs in a left uppercut to Yoshida's liver.  
Grant drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Yoshida is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Grant lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS YOSHIDA!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Yoshida almost instantly recovers. 
Yoshida switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Grant steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Yoshida quickly recovers. 
Grant drives a solid right hook into Yoshida's body.  Grant tries to land a left hook, but Yoshida blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Yoshida is on target with a left uppercut.  
Yoshida tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a spiteful jab.  
Grant quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE YOSHIDA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Yoshida recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Grant lands a left hook, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Yoshida steps to the outside.  Grant sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Yoshida lands with a stiff jab.

Yoshida could be stopped here, if Grant can find the right shot!  Grant SLAMS a big cross into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES YOSHIDA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Grant gets on the inside.  Grant DETONATES a WICKED cross on his opponents face.  YOSHIDA IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Grant!
