David Appiah vs Irfan Naseer

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Ashanti promoted show at Kumasi Asante, Kumasi,  taking place on 15/07/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Appiah (18(8) - 1) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Irfan Naseer(8 - 9(1) - 2) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Appiah and Naseer weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Louis Nkrumah, and the three ringside judges are Faraji Anyidoho, Louis Nkrumah and Rob Yeboah.  

Round 1: 

Appiah is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Appiah drives a right hook into Naseer's ribs.  Appiah clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Appiah pushes his forearm into Naseer's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Appiah.  
Appiah throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Appiah closes the distance and is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Appiah connects with a sharp left hook.  Appiah clinches his opponent.  Appiah leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Appiah's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Appiah throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Appiah lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Appiah advances into close range and lands a solid left uppercut.

Naseer pivots to the left of his opponent.  Naseer attempts to land a right hook, but Appiah slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Appiah lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Appiah gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Appiah cuts off the ring, trapping Naseer in the corner.  Appiah lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Appiah feints a cross, tricking Naseer into throwing a cross counter.  Appiah is waiting for the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Appiah manages to force Naseer into a neutral corner.  Appiah drives a sharp left uppercut into Naseer's body.  
Naseer throws a right uppercut, but Appiah holds on to his opponent.  Appiah uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Naseer behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Appiah to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Naseer's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Naseer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Some sustained pressure from Appiah could be enough to finish Naseer!  Appiah lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND NASEER IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  It looks like Naseer has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
