Mashawn Poku vs Ontibile Ntuli

Boxing Daily Report from the Soweto Punch Pros promoted show at Popcocks Indoor Sports Arena, Johannesburg,  taking place on 28/07/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mashawn Poku (5(1) - 0 - 1) who hails from Pretoria, South Africa and Ontibile Ntuli(16(1) - 5(1) - 1) from Umlazi, South Africa.  Both Poku and Ntuli weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Kamalebo, and the three ringside judges are Quoitrel Sotyu, Rob Bakwamba and John Nzambi.  

Round 1: 

Poku closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Poku holds on to his opponent.  Poku is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Poku and breaks the clinch.  
Poku drives a sharp right hook into Ntuli's body.  Poku holds on to his opponent.  Poku leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Poku manouvers Ntuli onto the ropes.  Poku digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Poku lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Poku lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Poku ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Ntuli pushes his forearm into Poku's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ntuli to stop fouling.  
Poku digs in a sharp right hook to Ntuli's ribs.  
Poku lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Poku clinches his opponent.  Poku is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Poku's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ntuli switches the action to the outside.  Poku sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Poku closes the distance and manages to force Ntuli onto the ropes.  Poku pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ntuli throws a left hook, but Poku ties up his opponent.  Ntuli uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Poku behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Poku hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Poku lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Poku closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Poku advances into close range and drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Poku lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ntuli is looking to keep his distance.  Poku is on target with an overhand right.  
Poku drives a sharp left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Ntuli is looking to keep his distance.  Poku lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Poku lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Poku lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.

Poku steps inside.  Poku quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Poku drives a left hook into Ntuli's liver.  Poku ties up his opponent.  Poku tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ntuli behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Poku sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a stinging jab.  
Poku is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Poku tries to land a right hook, but Ntuli blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ntuli pivots to the side of his opponent.  Poku lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ntuli's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Ntuli's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ntuli's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Poku steps inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Poku sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Poku snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Poku closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ntuli attempts to land a left hook, but Poku parries the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Poku drives a left uppercut into Ntuli's body.  
Poku digs in a forceful right hook to Ntuli's body.  NTULI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Poku lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, KNOCKING NTULI DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Poku whips in a DEVASTATING left uppercut to Ntuli's ribs.  NTULI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE NTULI THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Poku!
