Louis Wasson vs John Edmond

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at LIV Nightclub, Miami,  taking place on 13/07/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Louis The Wasp Wasson (1 - 0) who hails from Chicago, USA and John Edmond(3 - 9) from New York City, USA.  Both Wasson and Edmond weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Glynn Mescall, and the three ringside judges are Mark Swain, Xaverius Guerra and Charles Griffiths.  

Round 1: 

Wasson is on target with a cross.  
Wasson manouvers Edmond onto the ropes.  Wasson lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Wasson lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Edmond quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Edmond throws a right hook, but Wasson holds on to his opponent.  Wasson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Wasson pushes his forearm into Edmond's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Wasson tries to keep the action at long range and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Edmond tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Edmond is looking to close the distance.  Wasson connects with a left uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wasson dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Wasson.  That has caused a minor cut  the right eye.  .  
Wasson connects with a right hook.  
Wasson pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Wasson closes the distance.  Wasson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Wasson throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Wasson holds on to his opponent.  Wasson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Wasson hits home with a left hook.  Wasson holds on to his opponent.  Wasson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Edmond digs in a right uppercut to Wasson's ribs.  
Edmond steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Wasson tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Wasson advances into close range and walks Edmond down, trapping him on the ropes.  Wasson drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Wasson advances into close range and drives a left hook into Edmond's liver.  
As Edmond tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wasson dabs at his face checking for damage.  Wasson has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Edmond gets on the inside.  Wasson connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Edmond's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Edmond's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Edmond advances into close range and throws a right hook, but Wasson ties up his opponent.  Wasson uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Edmond's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Wasson digs in a left uppercut to Edmond's body.  
Wasson connects with a left hook.  
Wasson hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Wasson closes the distance and digs in a right hook to Edmond's body.  
Wasson lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.
