Paco Marques vs Carlos Alva

Boxing Daily Report from the Nzeyi Promotions promoted show at Belo Horizonte Merenda, Belo Horizonte,  taking place on 20/07/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Minas Gerais Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paco Marques (20(4) - 2(1)) who hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Carlos Alva(6 - 11 - 2) from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.  Marques weighed in at 129 pounds and 9 ounces, while Alva weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Ferra, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Monterroso, Joaquin Farinha and Venacio Parras.  

Round 1: 

Marques steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  Marques ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Marques pushes his forearm into Alva's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
