Nathan Castiello vs Joshua Ruxton

Boxing Daily Report from the Peanut Promotions promoted show at New York City Troop, New York City,  taking place on 06/08/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-New York State Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nathan Castiello (17 - 21(5) - 9) who hails from New York City, USA and Joshua Ruxton(11(4) - 1) from Rochester, USA.  Castiello weighed in at 140 pounds, while Ruxton weighed in at 139 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Harry Trevor, and the three ringside judges are John Shank, Seth Owens and Felix Sangster.  

Round 1: 

Ruxton is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Ruxton holds on to his opponent.  Ruxton throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ruxton manouvers Castiello into a neutral corner.  Ruxton lands a right hook.  
Ruxton digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  Ruxton clinches his opponent.  Ruxton pushes his forearm into Castiello's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ruxton.  
Ruxton walks Castiello onto the ropes.  Ruxton lands two left hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Ruxton advances into close range.  Ruxton pivots to the side of his opponent.  Castiello attempts to land a right hook, but Ruxton blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Ruxton is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ruxton lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ruxton sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Castiello throws a left hook, but Ruxton clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Castiello switches the action to the outside.  Ruxton feints a left hook, and then is on target with a jab.  
Ruxton lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ruxton lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Ruxton is on target with a solid left hook to Castiello's liver.  
Castiello lands a left hook.  
Castiello pivots to the right of his opponent.  Ruxton digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ruxton pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Castiello's body.  
Castiello throws a right uppercut, but Ruxton ties up his opponent.  Ruxton leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Ruxton's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ruxton connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Castiello steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Ruxton closes the distance.  Ruxton pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Ruxton pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook to Castiello's body.  
Ruxton is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Ruxton manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Ruxton hits home with a right hook.  
Ruxton quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ruxton pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Castiello's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Castiello's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Castiello's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Ruxton lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Ruxton pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Ruxton lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ruxton lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Castiello dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Castiello tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ruxton sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Ruxton gets on the inside.  Ruxton pivots to the right of his opponent.  Ruxton lands a firm right uppercut.  Ruxton holds on to his opponent.  Castiello leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ruxton sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ruxton manouvers Castiello into the red corner.  Ruxton pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Castiello tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with an overhand left.  
Ruxton pivots to the right of his opponent.  Ruxton is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Ruxton tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ruxton quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Castiello quickly recovers. 
Ruxton feints a jab, and then connects with a SAVAGE cross.  CASTIELLO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Castiello almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ruxton manouvers Castiello into the corner.  Ruxton lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ruxton closes the distance and drives a firm right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Ruxton sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a solid left hook.  
Ruxton lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ruxton lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ruxton lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Ruxton ties up his opponent.  Castiello throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ruxton walks Castiello into a corner.  Ruxton sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a firm left hook to Castiello's ribs.

Ruxton pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Ruxton lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND CASTIELLO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Castiello recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ruxton connects with a big right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE CASTIELLO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Castiello quickly recovers. 
Ruxton connects with a CRUSHING left hook.  CASTIELLO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Ruxton!
