Aditya Joshi vs Gopal Ganguly

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi,  taking place on 01/09/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aditya Joshi (6(4) - 0) who hails from Nagpur, India and Gopal Ganguly(15 - 6 - 1) from Bangalore, India.  Both Joshi and Ganguly weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arjuna Chaudhry, and the three ringside judges are Jasvinder Ramesh, Gautam Trivedi and Atif Mostafa.  

Round 1: 

Ganguly pivots to the left of his opponent.  Joshi lands with a sharp jab.

Joshi holds on to his opponent.  Joshi pushes his forearm into Ganguly's face.  The referee warns Joshi and breaks the clinch.  
Joshi sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Joshi lands a stinging right hook.  Joshi clinches his opponent.  Joshi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Joshi tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ganguly behind the head. 
Joshi steps to the outside and hits home with a firm cross.  Joshi attempts to land a jab, but Ganguly sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Joshi closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Joshi holds on to his opponent.  Joshi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Joshi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ganguly's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Ganguly's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
