Sammy Mollison vs Dan Merson

Boxing Daily Report from the Granite Chin Promotions promoted show at Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix,  taking place on 17/08/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sammy Mollison (12(10) - 0) who hails from Tempe, USA and Dan Merson(9 - 17 - 2) from Joliet, USA.  Both Mollison and Merson weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Charles, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Oropeza, Lloyd Dougal and Richie Rezin.  

Round 1: 

Merson steps inside.  Mollison is on target with a left hook.  As Merson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mollison dabs at his face checking for damage.
