Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Carrara Stadium, Gold Coast,  taking place on 25/08/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Lay (32(12) - 25(23) - 1) who hails from Perth, Australia and Mark Pappas(27(9) - 4(2)) from Adelaide, Australia.  Lay weighed in at 112 pounds, while Pappas weighed in at 111 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Puller, and the three ringside judges are Joel Glines, Mark Lockie and Robert Catanach.
