Stephen Sutherland vs Adam Battle

Boxing Daily Report from the Steel City Boxing promoted show at Fitzgerald Field House, Pittsburgh,  taking place on 22/08/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Stephen Sutherland (34(6) - 24(15) - 2) who hails from Tempe, USA and Adam Battle(26(2) - 16(1) - 1) from Wichita, USA.  Sutherland weighed in at 130 pounds, while Battle weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Colin Blood, and the three ringside judges are John Beall, Malcolm Kuntzman and Sam Doig.

Battle steps inside.  Sutherland lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Sutherland holds on to his opponent.  Battle leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Sutherland's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Battle wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sutherland dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sutherland lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.

Sutherland tries to keep the action at long range.  Sutherland drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Battle tries to land a jab, but Sutherland sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  BATTLE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Battle almost instantly gets his legs back.
