Denton McClelland vs Paul Ortega

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 20/10/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Denton the Hitman McClelland (33(33) - 0 - 1) who hails from Syracuse, USA and Paul Ortega(24(9) - 5(3)) from Lyon, France.  McClelland weighed in at 174 pounds and 12 ounces, while Ortega weighed in at 174 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam Leamon, and the three ringside judges are Noah Denoon, Josh Blancas and Lee Adee.  

Round 1: 

McClelland lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ortega quickly recovers. 
Ortega steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Ortega is on target with a right hook.  McClelland holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, McClelland pushes his forearm into Ortega's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McClelland about fouling.  
McClelland lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  McClelland ties up his opponent.  Ortega is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Ortega and breaks the clinch.  Ortega quickly recovers. 
Ortega advances into close range.  Ortega quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McClelland lands a firm right hook.  McClelland tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McClelland is on target with a ramrod jab.  
McClelland lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
McClelland throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ortega gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  McClelland holds on to his opponent.  Ortega leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McClelland lands a cross.  
McClelland lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ortega forces McClelland to retreat onto the ropes.  McClelland lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Ortega steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McClelland tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab.  McClelland tries to land a cross, but Ortega blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McClelland lands a stiff jab.  
Ortega manouvers McClelland onto the ropes.  McClelland is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
McClelland throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  McClelland ties up his opponent.  McClelland leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Ortega throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ortega lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
McClelland is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McClelland throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ortega lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  McClelland holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McClelland tries to keep the action at long range and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, KNOCKING ORTEGA DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Ortega gets on the inside.  McClelland thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Ortega away.  McClelland lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS ORTEGA!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
McClelland steps away from his opponent.  McClelland lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND ORTEGA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is McClelland!
