Kris Pearce vs Vermont Lafon

Boxing Daily Report from the Phantom Fights promoted show at London Kempe, London,  taking place on 18/08/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Ontario Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kris Pearce (8 - 10 - 3) who hails from Markham, Canada and Vermont Lafon(3 - 7 - 2) from Mississauga, Canada.  Both Pearce and Lafon weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Mason, and the three ringside judges are Mark Nixon, Clint Duthie and Ian Watkins.  

Round 1: 

Lafon lands a left hook.  
Pearce digs in a right hook to his opponents body.

Pearce advances into close range and forces Lafon to retreat into the corner.  Lafon connects with a right hook.  
Pearce steps inside.  Pearce sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pearce tries to land a left hook, but Lafon blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pearce walks Lafon down, trapping him in a corner.  Pearce sidesteps to the left of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lafon dabs at his face checking for damage.

Pearce attempts to land a left hook, but Lafon blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Pearce is looking to close the distance and digs in a left uppercut to Lafon's liver.  
Pearce pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Lafon steps to the outside.  Pearce strikes his opponents body with a cross.

Pearce gets on the inside.  Pearce pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Lafon's ribs.  
Lafon steps to the outside and lands a cross.

Pearce sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Lafon tries to land a right hook, but Pearce sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Lafon's body.  
Pearce feints a jab, but Lafon does not fall for it and lands with a left uppercut.  
Pearce advances into close range.  Lafon pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pearce wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lafon dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Lafon.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Pearce closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pearce dabs at his face checking for damage.
