Pedro Higuera vs Xabat Bejarano

Boxing Daily Report from the Acheampong Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo de Guz Mancebo, Santo Domingo de Guzman,  taking place on 23/08/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Dominican Republic-Distrito Nacional Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Pedro Higuera (31(15) - 3) who hails from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic and Xabat Bejarano(16 - 8(1) - 3) from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic.  Both Higuera and Bejarano weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Reynaldo Arellanes, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Mena, Macario Benito and Bronco Teodoro.  

Round 1: 

Higuera advances into close range and lands a right hook.  Higuera holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Higuera pushes his forearm into Bejarano's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Higuera lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bejarano almost instantly recovers. 
Higuera digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  Higuera clinches his opponent.  Higuera pushes his forearm into Bejarano's face.  The referee warns Higuera and breaks the clinch.  
Higuera lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Higuera slams a big left hook into Bejarano's body.  BEJARANO IS HURT!  Bejarano quickly recovers. 
Higuera advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Higuera sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Higuera drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Higuera clinches his opponent.  Higuera hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Higuera steps inside.  Higuera sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bejarano quickly recovers. 
Higuera lands a sharp jab.  
Higuera steps inside and drives a weighty left uppercut into his opponents body.  BEJARANO IS HURT!  Higuera holds on to his opponent.  Higuera leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  Bejarano almost instantly recovers. 
Higuera lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Higuera holds on to his opponent.  Higuera leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Higuera drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Bejarano throws a left hook, but Higuera clinches his opponent.  Higuera leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Higuera lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Higuera is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Higuera lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Higuera advances into close range and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  BEJARANO IS HURT!  Higuera holds on to his opponent.  Higuera is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Higuera pushes his forearm into Bejarano's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Higuera about fouling.  Bejarano recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Bejarano switches the action to the outside.  Higuera is on target with a cross.  
Higuera closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bejarano's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Bejarano's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Higuera slams a spiteful left uppercut into Bejarano's ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE BEJARANO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Higuera senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Bejarano and just needs the right shot.  Higuera lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DOWN GOES BEJARANO!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Bejarano now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Higuera advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Higuera holds on to his opponent.  Higuera leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Higuera's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Higuera lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Higuera lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, DROPPING BEJARANO TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  
Higuera lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS BEJARANO DOWN!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Higuera!
