Marjun Batongmalaque vs Max Manasan

Boxing Daily Report from the Asian Boxing promoted show at Joaquin Berlanga Gym, Batangas City,  taking place on 30/08/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Batangas Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Marjun Batongmalaque (28 - 7 - 2) who hails from Batangas City, Philippines and Max Manasan(7 - 14) from Batangas City, Philippines.  Both Batongmalaque and Manasan weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Lumala, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Arco, Rafael Gacungan and Rafael Gacungan.  

Round 1: 

Manasan is looking to close the distance.  Batongmalaque hits home with a left hook.  
Batongmalaque attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Manasan to the neutral corner.  He warns Batongmalaque that he could be heading for a point deduction.
