James Francy vs Jasper Leitch

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at North Shore Stadium, Auckland,  taking place on 01/09/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Francy (33(8) - 9(3)) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and Jasper Leitch(17 - 8(4)) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Francy and Leitch weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Cole, and the three ringside judges are Mike Scroggins, Robert Smillie and Owen Caddick.  

Round 1: 

Leitch is on target with a cross.  
Francy advances into close range.  Leitch sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Francy throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Leitch dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Francy drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Leitch connects with a cross.  
Francy closes the distance.  Francy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Francy lands a left hook.  
Francy gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Leitch hits home with a stinging jab.  Leitch throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Francy advances into close range and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Francy lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Leitch backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Francy accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Leitch.  
Francy advances into close range.  Francy sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Francy is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Francy attempts to land a left hook, but Leitch parries the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Leitch throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Leitch lands a jab.  
Leitch lands a sharp jab.  
Francy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Leitch is on target with a cross.  Leitch throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.

The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
