Morgan Slater vs Arthur Smeaton

Boxing Daily Report from the Western Promotions promoted show at Western Gym, Melbourne,  taking place on 20/08/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Morgan Slater (0 - 1) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Arthur Smeaton(0 - 5(1) - 1 - 1(NC)) from Melbourne, Australia.  Slater weighed in at 237 pounds and 9 ounces, while Smeaton weighed in at 220 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Obaid Kamali, and the three ringside judges are Kyle Hinshaw, Blake Lapshin and Mark Stein.  

Round 1:

Slater holds on to his opponent.  Slater leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Slater's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Smeaton steps inside.  Slater pivots to the left of his opponent.  Slater lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Slater ties up his opponent.  Slater pushes his forearm into Smeaton's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Slater about fouling.  
Smeaton cuts off the ring, trapping Slater on the ropes.  Slater digs in a solid left uppercut to Smeaton's body.  
Smeaton advances into close range.  Slater lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Slater lands a left hook.  
Smeaton gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Slater is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Slater sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Smeaton closes the distance and throws a left hook, but Slater clinches his opponent.  Slater leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Smeaton pivots to the right of his opponent.  Slater connects with a cross.  
Slater lands with a stiff jab.  
Slater switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Smeaton's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Smeaton's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Smeaton's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
