Harvey Claghorn vs Rex Wattles

Boxing Daily Report from the James Saint-Claire promoted show at Tattershall Club, Brisbane,  taking place on 18/08/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Harvey Claghorn (7 - 0) who hails from Townsville, Australia and Rex Wattles(1 - 3) from Brisbane, Australia.  Claghorn weighed in at 168 pounds, while Wattles weighed in at 167 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chris Weir, and the three ringside judges are Neil Pembroke, Lee Hyland and Joey Kindrick.  

Round 1: 

Claghorn closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Claghorn steps inside and lands a right uppercut.  Claghorn ties up his opponent.  Claghorn pushes his forearm into Wattles's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Claghorn about fouling.  Claghorn attempts to land a left hook, but Wattles slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Claghorn lands two left hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Claghorn is looking to close the distance and connects with a right uppercut.  Claghorn attempts to land a right hook, but Wattles slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Claghorn gets on the inside and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Claghorn holds on to his opponent.  Claghorn throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Claghorn about fouling.  
Claghorn sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Claghorn lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Claghorn ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Claghorn pushes his forearm into Wattles's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Claghorn.

Claghorn steps inside and digs in a left hook to Wattles's body.  
Wattles connects with a cross.  
Claghorn closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.

Claghorn gets on the inside.  Claghorn pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook to Wattles's liver.  
Claghorn lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Wattles steps away from his opponent.  Claghorn lands a cross.  
Claghorn connects with a right uppercut.  
Wattles sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Wattles throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.

Claghorn walks Wattles down, trapping him in the blue corner.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Claghorn dabs at his face checking for damage.

Wattles is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Claghorn lands a cross.  
Claghorn lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.
