Huibert Meerschaert vs Maurice Marope

Boxing Daily Report from the Pianim Promotions promoted show at Ghent Wittebroodt, Ghent,  taking place on 14/09/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Belgium Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sport10, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Huibert Meerschaert (25(2) - 9(4) - 1) who hails from Antwerp, Belgium and Maurice Marope(27(2) - 8 - 2) from Ghent, Belgium.  Meerschaert weighed in at 135 pounds And 9 ounces, while Marope weighed in at 135 pounds.    As Meerschaert came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Lodewijk Fierens, and the three ringside judges are Gerben Letins, Jakob Van Caiseele and Justus Van de Zande.
