Joshua Omaboe vs Ross Quirk

Boxing Daily Report from the The wright promotion promoted show at Manchester Ory, Manchester,  taking place on 17/09/2040:

Clearly The wright promotion have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Joshua Omaboe (4(2) - 0) who hails from Takoradi, Ghana and Ross Quirk(13 - 7 - 3) from Dundalk, Ireland.  Omaboe weighed in at 139 pounds And 11 ounces, while Quirk weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mel Starratt, and the three ringside judges are John McBride, Daniel Holme and Adam Ouimet.  

Round 1: 

Quirk sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Omaboe lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.

As they grapple, Omaboe pushes his forearm into Quirk's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Omaboe about fouling.

Omaboe pivots to the side of his opponent.  Quirk throws a right hook, but Omaboe clinches his opponent.  Omaboe pushes his forearm into Quirk's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Quirk's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Quirk's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Omaboe closes the distance.  Omaboe lands a firm right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Omaboe dabs at his face checking for damage.  Omaboe has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Omaboe crashes a big left hook to Quirk's ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE QUIRK WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Quirk quickly recovers. 
Omaboe lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Omaboe is looking to close the distance.  Quirk throws a right uppercut, but Omaboe ties up his opponent.  Omaboe leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Quirk tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Omaboe's kidney.
