Peter Beirne vs Douglas Kavanagh

Boxing Daily Report from the Mthethwa Promotions promoted show at Gavin Griffith Gym, Edinburgh,  taking place on 16/09/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Scotland Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter Beirne (2 - 12 - 3) who hails from Aberdeen, UK and Douglas Kavanagh(19 - 6) from Glasgow, UK.  Beirne weighed in at 167 pounds and 12 ounces, while Kavanagh weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Cullen, and the three ringside judges are Peter McAlister, David McClarnon and Bruce McBeth.  

Round 1: 

Kavanagh closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.
