Lucas Griff vs Vittore Nino

Boxing Daily Report from the Western Promotions promoted show at Festival Hall, Melbourne,  taking place on 25/09/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Lucas Griff (3(1) - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Vittore Nino(4 - 20(2) - 3) from Perth, Australia.  Both Griff and Nino weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Euan Kier, and the three ringside judges are David Hampton, Edward Heriot and Aaron Yale.  

Round 1: 

Nino is looking to close the distance.  Griff lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.

Nino throws a right uppercut, but Griff holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Griff pushes his forearm into Nino's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Griff walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Griff lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nino's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Nino's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
