Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Mombasa promoted show at Razi Masinde Gym, Mombasa,  taking place on 27/09/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Mombasa Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Gachara (3 - 11 - 4) who hails from Mombasa, Kenya and Dave Muthwii(15 - 10(1) - 3) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Gachara and Muthwii weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nwa Lugano, and the three ringside judges are Paul Kithuka, Polo Kogo and Lisimba Dalrymple.  

Round 1: 

Gachara gets on the inside.  Muthwii quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gachara attempts to land a right hook, but Muthwii sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gachara finds the target with a jab.  
Gachara drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Muthwii tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gachara pivots to the left of his opponent.  Muthwii throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Muthwii voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Gachara steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gachara's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Muthwii's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Muthwii's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
