Iago Gallegos vs Charles Calomay

Boxing Daily Report from the Dauda Promotions promoted show at Santiago Dimayacyac Gym, Cabuyao,  taking place on 01/10/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Laguna Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Iago Gallegos (7 - 17 - 5) who hails from Calamba, Philippines and Charles Calomay(24 - 6) from San Pablo, Philippines.  Gallegos weighed in at 125 pounds and 5 ounces, while Calomay weighed in at 125 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jeraldo Canas, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Trillo, Venacio Tacud and Miguel Nieto.  

Round 1: 

Gallegos manages to force Calomay onto the ropes.  Gallegos sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Gallegos gets on the inside.  Calomay quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.
