Ian Lanman vs Billy Mortimer

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Milford Ice Pavillion, Waterbury,  taking place on 21/09/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ian Lanman (5(3) - 2) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Billy Mortimer(23 - 15(7) - 4) from Wichita, USA.  Lanman weighed in at 200 pounds, while Mortimer weighed in at 199 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Davie Maines, and the three ringside judges are Peter Liddell, Phil Stephen and John Kippen.  

Round 1: 

Lanman steps inside and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Lanman gets on the inside and is on target with a solid right uppercut to Mortimer's body.  
Mortimer tries to land a jab, but Lanman dodges the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Lanman closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Lanman lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Lanman lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Lanman closes the distance.  Lanman sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lanman lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Lanman attempts to land a cross, but Mortimer sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Lanman steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Mortimer is on target with a firm left uppercut.  
Lanman pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Mortimer lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lanman digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Lanman manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Lanman lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Lanman lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lanman lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Lanman attempts to land a right hook, but Mortimer blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lanman attempts to land a left hook, but Mortimer parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Lanman's body.  
Lanman is on target with a left hook.

Lanman connects with a right hook.  
Lanman walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Lanman tries to land a right hook, but Mortimer slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mortimer pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lanman lands a right uppercut to the body followed by two straights to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mortimer almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Mortimer is on target with a jab.  
Lanman gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Lanman lands a stinging left hook.  
Lanman lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lanman lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.

Mortimer pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.

Lanman connects with a cross.  Lanman tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Lanman advances into close range and connects with a SAVAGE right hook.  MORTIMER HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  
Mortimer hits home with a sharp jab.  
Lanman advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mortimer recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mortimer pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lanman connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Lanman gets on the inside.  Mortimer pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Lanman lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Lanman lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mortimer recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mortimer finds the target with a jab.  
Lanman advances into close range.  Mortimer throws a left uppercut, but Lanman holds on to his opponent.  Lanman is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lanman gets on the inside.  Lanman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mortimer walks Lanman down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Lanman strikes his opponents body with a spiteful cross.  MORTIMER IS HURT!  
Lanman thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Mortimer away.  Lanman whips in a nasty right uppercut to Mortimer's ribs.  MORTIMER IS DOWN!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Lanman!
