Bart Kerrigan vs Bryan Maffett

Boxing Daily Report from the Greedy Promotions promoted show at Raven Gym, Macon,  taking place on 12/10/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Bart Kerrigan (2(1) - 0) who hails from Henderson, USA and Bryan Maffett(8 - 12 - 7) from Los Angeles, USA.  Kerrigan weighed in at 174 pounds and 12 ounces, while Maffett weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Will Sangster, and the three ringside judges are Paul Orem, Arran Culp and Brad Bee.  

Round 1: 

Kerrigan advances into close range and connects with a sharp left hook.  
Kerrigan digs in a right hook to Maffett's body.  Kerrigan clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Kerrigan pushes his forearm into Maffett's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kerrigan to stop fouling.  
Kerrigan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kerrigan forces Maffett to retreat onto the ropes.  Kerrigan lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kerrigan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a powerful right hook to Maffett's body.  MAFFETT IS HURT!  Maffett almost instantly recovers. 
Kerrigan lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kerrigan gets on the inside and digs in a firm left hook to Maffett's ribs.  
Kerrigan lands a jab.  
Kerrigan advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kerrigan finds the target with a jab.  
Kerrigan lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Kerrigan closes the distance.  Maffett could be stopped here, if Kerrigan can find the right shot!  Kerrigan lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS MAFFETT TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Maffett now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Kerrigan throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kerrigan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Kerrigan clinches his opponent.  Kerrigan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kerrigan hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Maffett lands a cross.  
Kerrigan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kerrigan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid right hook.  
Kerrigan is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kerrigan lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Maffett's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Maffett's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Maffett's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Kerrigan forces Maffett to back into the ropes.  Kerrigan lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kerrigan advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Maffett sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kerrigan lands a jab.  
Kerrigan lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Maffett pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Kerrigan closes the distance and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  MAFFETT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Maffett recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Kerrigan cuts off the ring, trapping Maffett in the corner.  Kerrigan digs in a right uppercut to Maffett's body.

Maffett switches the action to the outside.  Kerrigan lands a cross.  
Kerrigan drives a firm left hook into Maffett's liver.  Kerrigan attempts to land a left hook, but Maffett blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Maffett tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a hurtful right hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MAFFETT WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Maffett almost instantly recovers. 
Kerrigan pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Kerrigan gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kerrigan is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Kerrigan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Kerrigan lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Kerrigan lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Kerrigan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a firm left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Kerrigan throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Kerrigan advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kerrigan is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Kerrigan knows Maffett is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Kerrigan lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS MAFFETT TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Kerrigan slams a big right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  MAFFETT IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  It looks like Maffett has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Kerrigan steps inside and drives a right hook into Maffett's body.  
Kerrigan is on target with a right hook to Maffett's ribcage.  
Kerrigan advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kerrigan lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Kerrigan closes the distance and manouvers Maffett into a corner.  Kerrigan lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Kerrigan senses Maffett is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Kerrigan slams a DESTRUCTIVE left uppercut into Maffett's ribs.  MAFFETT HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE MAFFETT THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Kerrigan!
