Benedict Nthepe vs Thierry Bertrand

Boxing Daily Report from the Mulia Promotions promoted show at Maroua Messi, Maroua,  taking place on 19/10/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon-Extreme-Nord Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Benedict Nthepe (17 - 11(1) - 4) who hails from Maroua, Cameroon and Thierry Bertrand(6 - 16(3)) from Maroua, Cameroon.  Both Nthepe and Bertrand weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fernand Beaumarchais, and the three ringside judges are Canon Machin, Lionel Mboma and Sennett Orleans.  

Round 1: 

Nthepe closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Nthepe tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nthepe connects with a left uppercut.  
Nthepe closes the distance.  Nthepe pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Bertrand wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nthepe dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Nthepe is on target with a left hook to Bertrand's body.  
Nthepe lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Bertrand walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Nthepe connects with a left uppercut.  
Bertrand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nthepe tries to land a left uppercut, but Bertrand parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Nthepe is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nthepe's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Bertrand's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Bertrand's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Bertrand throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Bertrand is on target with a cross.  
Nthepe connects with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Nthepe.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.
