Peter Donaghue vs Rex Tweedy

Boxing Daily Report from the Sarkodee Promotions promoted show at Minneapolis Lamont, Minneapolis,  taking place on 04/11/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Minnesota Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter Donaghue (16(5) - 0) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Rex Tweedy(8 - 11 - 3) from Saint Paul, USA.  Donaghue weighed in at 147 pounds, while Tweedy weighed in at 146 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Langer, and the three ringside judges are Phil Bertel, Charlie Genz and Stephen Quinn.  

Round 1: 

Donaghue advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  Donaghue clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Donaghue pushes his forearm into Tweedy's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tweedy lands a cross.
