Mikio Furuya vs Laken Govender

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Kokugikan Stadium, Tokyo,  taking place on 08/12/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the WRBA Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Furuya (52(35) - 9(1) - 2) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Laken Govender(34(4) - 18(13)) from Randburg, South Africa.  Both Furuya and Govender weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kazuhiko Ide, and the three ringside judges are Hikaru Nakamura, Michi Uyehara and Kyo Iwai.
