Michael Cowden vs Paul Malkasyan

Boxing Daily Report from the Tasman Fighter’s promoted show at Brisbane McCarthy, Brisbane,  taking place on 14/11/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Michael Cowden (15(1) - 2(1)) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Paul Malkasyan(15(5) - 5(3) - 1) from Sunshine Coast, Australia.  Both Cowden and Malkasyan weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ewan Duffy, and the three ringside judges are Mark Taggert, Charlie Cacciari and Zain Sharifi.  

Round 1: 

Malkasyan closes the distance.  Malkasyan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Malkasyan lands a left hook.  Malkasyan attempts to land a left hook, but Cowden blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
