Jack Bird vs George Thomson

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at American Airlines Arena, Miami,  taking place on 17/11/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jack Bird (0 - 0) who hails from Calgary, Canada and George Thomson(1 - 0) from Philadelphia, USA.  Both Bird and Thomson weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Salvatierra, and the three ringside judges are Onofre Villagomez, Leo Couch and Owen Covington.  

Round 1: 

Bird advances into close range.  Thomson lands a left hook.

Thomson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bird hits home with a stiff jab.

Bird steps inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Bird gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Thomson's body.
