Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Maharashtra promoted show at Mumbai Manne, Mumbai,  taking place on 02/12/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Asian Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TEN Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gautam Ranjan (19 - 12(6) - 2) who hails from Nagpur, India and Pradeep Ram(15(10) - 2(1)) from Pune, India.  Ranjan weighed in at 225 pounds and 4 ounces, while Ram weighed in at 248 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Farhan Diab, and the three ringside judges are Haaris Kassar, Jasvinder Kapoor and Rajat Patil.  

Round 1: 

Ram advances into close range and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Ranjan throws a right hook, but Ram ties up his opponent.  Ram pushes his forearm into Ranjan's face.  The referee warns Ram and breaks the clinch.

Ram gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Ram ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ranjan switches the action to the outside.  Ram connects with a cross.  
Ram gets on the inside.  Ram sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ram manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ram digs in a right hook to Ranjan's body.  
Ram hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Ram throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Ram ties up his opponent.  Ram leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Ram's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Ram lands a right uppercut.

Ram manouvers Ranjan into a corner.  Ram lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ram pivots to the right of his opponent.  Ranjan throws a left hook, but Ram holds on to his opponent.  Ram is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ram lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  Ram clinches his opponent.  Ram tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ranjan behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ram.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ranjan's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Ranjan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Ram lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Ranjan recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ram quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ranjan throws a left hook, but Ram ties up his opponent.  Ranjan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ram tries to land a left hook, but Ranjan blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ram lands a sharp left hook.  
Ranjan tries to land a left hook, but Ram dodges the shot and counters with a left hook to Ranjan's body.  
Ranjan throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a MASSIVE cross.  RANJAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Ranjan almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ram walks Ranjan down, trapping him in the corner.  Ranjan is on target with a right hook.  
Ranjan attempts to land a right uppercut, but Ram sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Ram lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Ram ties up his opponent.  Ram tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ranjan behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ram about fouling.  
Ram lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ram lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ranjan tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ram drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Ranjan throws an overhand right, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right hook.

Ram manages to force Ranjan into the corner.  Ram lands a left uppercut.  Ram ties up his opponent.  Ram leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Ram to stop holding.

Ram drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Ram is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ram lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS RANJAN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Ranjan almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ram sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ranjan recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
