Pekka Vatanen vs Fresco Torrez

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego,  taking place on 23/02/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Pekka Vatanen (30(25) - 1) who hails from Tampere, Finland and Fresco Torrez(31(6) - 25(19)) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Both Vatanen and Torrez weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Darryl Bruce, and the three ringside judges are Ian Lin, Michael Torry and Johnny Tyree.  

Round 1: 

Vatanen lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Torrez lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Vatanen steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Torrez quickly recovers. 
Vatanen gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  Vatanen ties up his opponent.  Vatanen pushes his forearm into Torrez's face.  The ref breaks Vatanen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Vatanen drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Torrez attempts to land a jab, but Vatanen slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Torrez's liver.  
Vatanen advances into close range and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Vatanen throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Vatanen holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Vatanen pushes his forearm into Torrez's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vatanen closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Vatanen is on target with a right uppercut.

Vatanen walks Torrez into the corner.  Vatanen lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.
